Membership with My Credit Union has never been easier! Anyone who lives, works or worships in the cities of San Mateo County can join and immediately receive all the benefits and services we have to offer.

Anyone employed by one of our more than 40 employee groups or sponsor company may join My Credit Union. Also, anyone related to or residing with one of our existing members is eligible for membership.

Once a person becomes a member, they will always remain a member, regardless of changes in employment or relocation.

Once eligibility is met, a prospective member needs to complete an account card and open a share (savings) account with a minimum deposit of $25.00. That opens the door to all of our services and benefits like our share draft (Checking) account, and great loan products. Join now by filling out a membership form.

How a Business or Employee Group Joins...

Your business or employer may be able to have its employees served by My Credit Union if the following criteria are met:

  • The business is located within a 25-mile radius of the Redwood City main office or one of MY Credit Union's shared branch location.
  • The business is not an association.
  • No other credit union serves your business.

To become a Select Employer Group

imply have a corporate officer or owner sign and send a letter (see sample below) on your company letterhead and include the following information:
  1. A statement requesting My Credit Union services to your employees.
  2. What your business product line is and/or what services the business performs.
  3. Number of employees.
  4. Miles from the nearest My Credit Union branch.
  5. State that your business is not served by another credit union

Dear CEO:

(Your company name here) hereby requests that MY Credit Union begin serving our company’s employees and their families as our company credit union.

We are not currently being served by any other credit union. Our office is located within 25 miles of a branch. There are approximately (number here) employees at this facility. The formation of a credit union by our employer group is not practical since we lack sufficient resources or volunteers to support its operation.

It would be a benefit to our employees to offer them credit union membership as soon as possible.
